Easter Seals Florida at Altrusa House of Gainesville is an adult day health care facility that provides for the socialization and safety of frail, elderly and disabled adults, age 18 and over. The program is designed to meet a client’s social, medical and rehabilitative needs, while allowing them to continue living at home during an acute or chronic illness. As an affordable alternative to costly nursing home or in-home care, Altrusa House’s tailored services range from providing a protective environment for frail and dementia clients to full rehabilitative services for clients who want to return to an active lifestyle.
Open weekdays from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm, the medically-prescribed program at Altrusa House can help adults of all ages with a variety of daycare needs:
- Personal Care Assistance
- Skilled Nursing and Medication Supervision
- Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy
- Health Monitoring
- Client and Caregiver Education and Counseling
- Healthy Meals and Snacks
- Therapeutic Recreation
